About Main Street Living
Main Street Living is a Lutheran Television Program that is endorsed by The South Dakota District of The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod. The program is financially supported by the viewers and congregations of the viewing area. Broadcast each Sunday on KDLT-NBC, Sioux Falls, at 10 AM Central Time, and KCAU-ABC, Sioux City, at 10 AM Central Time.
The first portion of the program is remastered episodes of Lutheran hour ministries, This is the Life. This retro TV series was extremely popular in the late 1970s and 1980s. This program airs for the first 30 minutes of the Main Street Living.
The Mission of Main Street Living
- To present an evangelistic television ministry that invites the unchurched and shut-in to better know the saving grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
- To present a quality Christian television program with Lutheran foundations.
- To present the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod worship service to viewers in the upper midwest.
- To spiritually and financially involve the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod congregations in the upper midwest.
