Fall Craft Fair - Nov 8th 9:00A-2:30P
HELP Needed for Helping Hands Food Pantry
Members, you can add a designated amount to your church offerings by marking it for "food pantry". This will provide you with the tax deductible benefit for your support. Lannie in our office will then combine all offerings in a single check for the food pantry on a regular basis as part of our ongoing mission project.
The following list are items that the Food Pantry cannot get easily from the Food Bank of Siouxland anymore. This list may seem excessive but it reflects on how short they are with food items at this time. Donors can drop off any of these items at the church entry way designated satellite location Mon-Thu 10a-2:30p, Wed 6-8p or Sun 8a-11a:
- Cereal
- Peanut Butter
- Spaghetti O's or Ravioli
- Jelly
- Canned chicken or Tuna
- Canned soups
- Juice
- Cookies
- Instant potatoes
- Mac & Cheese

LWML Kickoff Meeting Nov 19th & Nov 20th
In follow-up to the Stewardship Month presentations, we are relaunching our chapter of LWML at Shepherd of Peace!
We will be meeting on Wednesday, Nov 19th at 6:30 PM CT at church and on Thursday, Nov 20th at 1:30 PM CT at church!
Upcoming SOP Youth Events Fall 2025
11/21-23, 2025 - IDW Senior Youth Gathering (grades 9th =12th) ... Last day to register has not been announced, but if you would like to attend, please contact Sue 712-259-3077 by September 28th,.so we can get our applications in. There is a cost, but we also have an application to get financial help from Iowa District West to attend.

We had 51 Siouxland Youth Connect members all wearing their Youth Connect T-Shirts at the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans one of the days we were there. Soon, you will be able to order Youth Connect T-shirts on line. We are gradually getting to be good friends with youth from our area LCMS churches as we participate in Group Activities!
NEW WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY STARTS JULY 7 2PM
NEW Women's Bible Study will be started on Monday July 7th @ 2:00 PM.
This group will meet at the church on 1st and 3rd Monday's Monthly.

If you are not aware, the Sergeant Bluff Advocate has a new online website (https://www.sergeantbluffadvocates.com/). They have included a new section on their website called "Church News" where Tim Loftus from the Advocate will include news and events from our congregation. Check it out when you can!

Please take time to check out the updated Church Directory that has been posted online. Thank you to Diane Zanter for working with various individuals to get this updated. It is a viewable and downloadable PDF file that password protected for the security of our member information (same password previously used). 2024 Bible Reading Plan
Bible Project is a nonprofit, crowdfunded organization that produces 100% free Bible videos, podcasts, articles, classes, and educational Bible resources to help make the biblical story accessible to everyone everywhere. From page one to the final word, we believe the Bible is a unified story that leads to Jesus. This diverse collection of ancient books overflows with wisdom for our modern world. As we let the biblical story speak for itself, we believe the message of Jesus will transform individuals and entire communities. Many people have misunderstood the Bible as a collection of inspirational quotes or a divine instruction manual dropped from Heaven. Most of us gravitate toward sections we enjoy while avoiding parts that are confusing or even disturbing. Our Bible resources help people experience the Bible in a way that is approachable, engaging, and transformative. We do this by showcasing the literary art of the Scriptures and tracing biblical themes from beginning to end. Rather than taking the stance of a specific tradition or denomination, we create materials to elevate the Bible for all people and draw our eyes to its unified message.
